Has anyone LOST there SMELL ?? 💩💩

Hello all ! 
7 weeks pregnant and first time (had previous early MC). Age 36
about 1 week after my BFB my sense of smell suddenly vanished!😪😪😪  got very minimal taste. It's been over 1 week 
 Covid ruled out as no other symptoms. 
I know its not a typical symptom as you need to be able to smell out danger foods.  Just wondering if anyone else out there experiencing this? It's pretty depressing 😓

You cannot rule out Covid until you get a test to confirm it because many people are asymptomatic, which is why the government is now suggesting that everyone wears a mask when leaving the house. 
Anyway, pregnancy does weird things so it’s possible it’s just a weird symptom. That being said, my sense of smell was heightened when I was pregnant and I couldn’t stand anything other than the smell of lemons.

I’ve had COVID and except for 2 days of fébrile symptôme (mild fever, exhaustion and body pains), loss of smell (and thus, taste) was my only symptom (my husband and 8yo had fever and breathing pains, my 10yo daughter absolutely nothing and my 18yo 2 days of pains and exhaustion). It really comes in all sizes and shapes ! 
I’ve been told by doctors (but they didn’t know a lot at that stage as we had it mid-March) that it’s usually a symptoms of  milder forms. A month and 1/2 later I’d say I recovered 80% of smell. Still needs to put my nose on certain things though. 
If you have any possibility to be tested, do it. If not, keep a close eye on yourself and monitor your temperature (keeping in mind that while pregnant it is usually a little more elevated).

One of the “asymptomatic” symptoms is loss of sense of smell. One or two of the NBA players that tested positive but no symptoms lost their sense of smell. Talk to your OB about the issue. Maybe they know somewhere they can send you to be tested for Covid. 
The majority of pregnant women develop increased sense of smell and taste - it’s an evolutionary natural defense mechanism against eating stuff that has gone bad or could be bad for baby. It’s also part of why we throw up more - you’re body is supposed to be in preservation mode hyperdrive. 
LUCKILY - all the studies about covid positive babies and youngsters has shown that it has little to no effect on the young unless they are already health compromised. 
Bottom line - talk to your OB. Good luck!!
