Allowing fam to meet baby during/after pandemic?

I’m due May 25th, and I’m worried I may have to wait a few months for family and friends to meet our little girl, even if social distancing ends by the due date. How are you other ladies feeling? What plans are you making or putting off?

My son won’t be around anyone apart from the people in this household for as long as it takes.
His safety comes first and I don’t care who wants to be upset or offended by it - that’s their problem. I have a phone and internet to send them pictures and videos. 
My husband and I have already made this very clear to everyone and that’s the end of the argument for us.

If the virus is still very bad at this point, I’m not going to allow family and friends to meet my baby girl until things calm down (unless they completely quarantine themselves for 2 weeks). As much as I hate it, it is for her protection. I might have them one see her through a window or something though. I’m a first time mom and the whole situation stinks.

We are waiting a few months. As sad as it is that our family and friends won’t meet our boy it’s for his safety. Even if social distancing rules are lifted we still want to wait a little bit. People might be mad or whatever but in all honesty it’s our boy and we need to make sure he’s protected. 💙

I plan to have outdoor, distance visits for a while. Not sure how long...but planning to just cross that bridge when we get there. Not how we all imagined our birthing and newborn experience, I’m sure, but women of the past have brought babies into higher levels of outside turmoil and scarier situations. We’re blessed for the safety we do have 💙

I am due May 15, me and my hubby decided that we would only let the grandparents meet the baby in person, and they can see him through FaceTime afterwards and we will be sending lots of pictures to them. But we are not letting friends and family see the baby even if the stay at home gets lifted. We are planning on keeping him indoors, for as long as possible, and me as well.

I’m not worrying about it right now. Obviously we’ll still be in peak season when she’s here, so no one over the first few weeks but beyond that we’ll have to wait and see how everything goes. My mom works at the same hospital in the postpartum unit so she’ll be able to see her in the hospital, which makes me feel a little better! I also realistically know we’ll be dealing with this for a long time to come and we’ll all have to learn a new normal in living with this. Just playing it all by ear!

I’m due June 2nd and already started telling some family they will not be meeting my son in person for many months. My fiancé and I live with my mom so she will be the only family member who gets to be around. It really sucks as this is the first grand baby on my side of the family and my grandparents are been so excited. But my grandfather is still working (he is a doctor) so he understands and I have told them to get iPads so we can FaceTime 😊

Due May 10th and we’re following whatever guidelines the hospital has in place. If there are no visitors at the hospital, then there will be no visitors at the house. We may even keep that rule longer than the hospital does, just depends on how the situation is in our area as well as the areas people would be traveling from.
