Sleep when baby sleeps or stay active and awake?
So I’m a FTM and just trying to figure out if I’m doing this right right now lol. I can’t figure out if I should be more up and active at this point of post partum or if it’s still acceptable to be working on sleeping as much as I can while baby is so young. I had a csection and He was 3 weeks early. He still sleeps quite a bit during the day, not sure if it’s still more than normal or not. I’ve always been the type of person who loves my sleep and will stay in bed all day if it was possible lol so now I know that’s terrible for me to do anyways but I’m wondering if that affects him right now if were basically staying in bed all day? Like when he naps in his bassinet I sleep too and when he wakes up we just hang out in bed until he goes back to sleep and then back to the bassinet and repeat like that all day until bathtime. I know once babies are more interactive and alert they get bored and it would be impossible to stay in bed all day but with a newborn they just hang out and relax for the most part so I would assume this wouldn’t make him bored to lay in bed and I just talk to him while he’s awake right? what do you guys do all day with your 1 month olds when they’re not sleeping/eating since they don’t play with toys yet or get excited by much at this age? And when they are sleeping do you do the same or do you stay active to stay awake all day? I feel so guilty for anything I do now so I want to make sure I’m not missing anything I should be doing with him right now just because I’m tired.
