Second-time Mamas - childcare while in hospital

Di

Hi Mamas! Congrats to all on your impending buddles of joy! Even in this unprecedented time full of unknowns, what an amazing miracle you're creating! I had a question for second-time Mamas in a time of a pandemic. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I have a 20-month old. We're at a loss of childcare for her while my husband and I are in the hospital. My parents are too old (wouldn't want to bring COVID-19 to them who knows!). My sister is still working (essential worker) and my sister in law's husband is also still working (essential worker). I just worry they will bring something to us or vice versa.

What are you doing? What scenarios are you willing to compromise on? Is it a good idea to see if someone would be willing to stay at our house to watch her? Social distancing is tough right now when we're in need of help.

I know a lot could change if my hospital possibly decides to not allow any supports but so far, my husband will be there.

What will you be doing and what made you make that decision? I'm due May 16th.

TIA! I hope you're all safe and healthy!!
