Typically, when you go into labor naturally, especially once you're term, it's because when the lung development is complete, a hormone is released which triggers labor. So most of the time, yes, if you go into labor, baby is ready (this of course excludes complications of preterm labor like cervix problems or medical issues)

I had my little girl at 37 weeks (My waters broke naturally but they gave me drugs to speed it up because of problems I had during my pregnancy they wanted to get her out as quick as possible) and she was born 6 pound 13 perfectly healthy x
