Lochia smell?

I'm just over a week postpartum, my water broke at 34 weeks and baby was out about 6 hours later. Now it smells like something crawled up there and died. I don't have any other symptoms of an infection, but i didn't have this with my older 2 kids. I'm calling dr in the morning for an appointment, but i wanted to ask if anyone else has dealt with similar and had it not be an infection? Kind of stressed about it and hoping to get some reassurance 😬
