Should I be concerned?

I'm 33w2d and baby boy feels as if he's dropped. He's been head down for weeks now and now he's much lower than normal. Is it normal to drop this early?

I'm 34 weeks. I dropped last week and he definitely feels lower and when he moves (which is a alot) it can sometimes be painful and I have a lot of pressure. I am going to mention it to my OB when I go this week but I have no other signs of impending labor.

It’s okay to drop then! Some moms don’t drop until labor is already happening and others weeks beforehand. As long as you’re not contracting and water is intact you don’t have anything to worry about. 💕

I dropped at 35 weeks and nothings happened besides the urge to have diarrhea cramps but I’m still pregnant at 36 weeks.

Dropping can mean nothing or could be something. I felt baby drop at 33W which my OB confirmed at my 34W appointment this past Thursday. My OB told me that baby could chill out there till full term or I could go into labor soon. It really is a coin toss. My sister in law dropped around the same time and went to 40W so you could very well go to term as well if baby has truly dropped... but for me 4 days after my 34W appointment where my OB felt baby girl in my pelvis I started having contractions and dilated 1cm when I wasn’t at all dilated at my appointment. I made a post earlier today about it... Even though I have begun dilating, it still doesn’t mean baby is coming now but I do have to take it easy and keep track of my contractions or if my water breaks.

Dropping means nothing, it is no indication of labor or anything else.
