What happens at first appointment ?

I’ll be 8 weeks at my first appointment, just curious, will an ultrasound be done?

For me, it was just talking and blood tests.   The only ultrasound I received was at 20 weeks.  But I hope that isn’t the case for you :)

most likely not. it’s just a lot of questions & paperwork. usually bloodwork too.

No not ultra sound they will just ask lots of questions relating to you father and yours and fathers family.

Depends where you live. I live in the Uk. So for sll three of my children at the first appointment there was only paperwork and blood test done. First scan at 12 weeks and then at 20 weeks

Mine made me pee in a cup to confirm and lots of paperwork. First ultrasound will be next week at 11 weeks.

Some do US I had one done at 7 weeks just to make sure everything is ok then you’ll go back every 3-4 weeks for a check up and to listen to your baby’s heart beat then my doctor said I’ll start getting a ultrasound at 20 weeks every week

I had some paperwork to fill out. They took blood and urine samples. And yes, they did do an ultrasound! I would hope they do one for you because you will be able to hear the heartbeat for the first time and that is just the coolest 😊💕

I had a vaginal ultrasound at my first appointment thinking i was 8 weeks 3 days and they measured the baby to figure out my actual due date and exactly how far along I was. Turns out I was 7 weeks and 1 day at the time! I’m pretty sure they normally do an ultrasound.
