Nurses ect are extremely important?  Do you believe you can believe in God while still using your brain?  Once a brain is dead it's useless. That's why hope faith relationship belief in God is so important. Humans are limited. Life is brief. God gave us the knowledge we do have so of course I value it.  Choosing God doesn't make you ignorant.

I don’t believe in god. I believe in science. Once you’re brain dead, you’re dead. The only thing keeping you alive is a machine. 
Doctors and nurses are 100% important otherwise we would have a lot of deaths from a lot of things at a much higher rate.

I’m an atheist, but I do believe you can have both. I’ve met a few Christians who believe the science, but that it was kickstarted by a god. I believe that if you refute the science and the facts then you are (sorry) not the smartest. But I do think you can have both.

I personally do believe in God and completely respect that others don’t. A friend of mine is an atheist but she’s always found the reason I believe in god to be interesting. I grew up in a modernised Muslim family. My parents enrolled me into religious studies in school to learn about Christian religion as well, (basically what I’m trying to get at is we aren’t an old fashioned family. Very much so westernised in that my entire family were born in Australia). But I’ve always found believing in a god of sorts to be calming. I feel like even in very difficult times i have someone with me, helping me and supporting me. 
In saying so I’m studying to become a doctor 😂 I definitely believe in modern medicine and i don’t believe a single prayer is going to cure a your condition, but sometimes that feeling of being content and at ease after saying a prayer or whatever ritual significantly helps. The human brain is so powerful and we forget that. So even just believing that you’re not alone and that you’ll pull through is enough help to better the patient.
