DIY masks

Ma

Yet another day in quarantine, yet another rainy day inside, yet another project.

I read that masks may begin to be required when out and about in public and decided to see if making them might be easier than trying to hope and pray for a box of disposables.

So I made one very simple one at first, rectangle with elastic to secure and a filter pocket.

Then I felt brave and went for a more complicated one with rouching to help close any gaps between face and mask and to help form it around the nose.

All hand sewn with scrap fabrics I found in my mother in-laws sewing kit. Considering making a bunch and donating them to give back but not sure where will accept cloth masks? Anyone know? Thanks ladies!
