Help!!! Progesterone supplement???

Is anyone here taking progesterone supplements for their pregnancy?
What have been your side affects? How has it worked for you? Did you think it was worth it? I’ve read so many negatives about it. I don’t know if I want to continue taking it...

I just started taking progesterone vaginally. No side effects so far besides residue left over which is gross.

What were the negatives? Are you talking symptom wise?
I took the crisone vaginal ones after ivf and estradiol until 8 weeks. I was really bloated and it was messy but worth it

Of the five times I have been pregnant, the two that have managed to stick have been the ones I took progesterone for. One is now a 3yr old and currently 36 weeks pregnant with the second. I used pessaries from weeks 5-12 on both.
Side effects wise- they made me really bloated and the residue was gross and irritated me a bit.

I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant after an IUI. I took progesterone supplements for the first 8-10 weeks or so. They sucked. The residue is annoying and irritated my whole vaginal and pubic area. I got my first ever yeast infection and it was AWFUL. 
But this is my third pregnancy and the first one that's ever gotten this far without major problems. Previously I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and then one at 12 weeks. We've been trying to have a child since 2014 so it's been a long road and I was willing to go through anything. Did the progesterone help? Maybe. We did multiple new interventions this round so it's hard to say. Or maybe the other two were flukes and this one was just stronger somehow? We'll never know. But I'm grateful that so far everything looks healthy with me and baby so something worked. 
Bottom line, only you know what's right for you and your body at the end of the day. Talk over your options with your doctor and make an informed, empowered decision. Good luck! 🌸
