Any military mommas?

Question

I’m a single mom and I’m looking into joining the military. 
What’s it called when you are able to move your children with you and live off base? 
Any details? 
Pros? Cons??

Answer

I’m not a mom but I’m in the military. It’s a good way to support BUT you have to have a support system. If you go on deployments or through a field cycle or if you have to work shift work. Being a single parent especially if you have full custody is insanely hard and most leadership doesn’t take well to it. You’ll be allowed to stay off post.
