What does this mean?

Af ended 5 days ago. I am on CD 12, my cervix is soft and open...how can I tell if its high or low? And what does it mean? Should I BD tonight or wait? Glow app says I ovulate in 8 days...First time tracking this kinda stuff..my first pregnancy has an awful story behind it...

Cervix softens around your fertile week and hards a few days before period if you haven't concieved, but it's harder to track that way when you aren't a medical professional, I don't use opks, but I temp every morning when my cervix softens to make sure I'm doing things at the right time  and if I should test or expect my period

You should use opks to know when your about to ovulate and temp to confirm ovulation that is better accuracy then your cervix. But you could be in your fertile week or ovulation is earlier. Ovulation isn’t always the same time each month
