Does your two year old know their colors well

Any tips to help my two year old learn her colors and alphabet

For the alphabet we have a puzzle! It has pictures under each letter and we take them all out and she picks one up and says what the picture is for it, we tell her the letter and she says it back

Yes my son knows his colors, shapes, ABCs   and numbers from 1-20, animals the noises they make, he’s been knowing since he was like 2y5m old he will turn 3 in Jan

We y’all about colors a lot. What color is that. What color is this. We color and paint a lot and I have him ask for specific colors one at a time. Also part of our bedtime routine is to watch Bob Ross because he’s so calming and I think that’s really helped him learn his colors. He will sit and watch and talk about whatever color he is painting with at the moment. I teach K3 and the alphabet is not expected. Most of my kids are turning four and I expect them to know a little bit but not a lot coming into the year so you have plenty of time on that. Counting is expected in my class at least to 10 when they start but not number recognition so much. My LO likes to count but can only get to 3 before he starts throwing random numbers in there. We are working on shapes. He knows heart and star and circle but there’s still plenty of time for all of that. Right now I’m focused more on potty training, being nice to others, listening and obeying, speaking when someone speaks to you, and how to sit in chairs. This is the stuff as a teacher I wish more parents spent time teaching. I’ll have kids who know all their letter and numbers but have no knowledge of how to be nice or share or sit down or manners. Focus on teaching these things and the rest will come.

Yes colours are good but She doesn’t recognize letters and numbers tho . She can count to 22 and knew her abcs for a long time but I can show her any letter or number and she just shoots a shot .

For colors, have them sort things. Find a bunch of red and yellow things and have them put each color together. Do 2 colors at a time. As for the alphabet, were still learning that but my kid loves watching wheel of fortune... random i know, but he'll repeat what they say "3 Hs" its random, but reinforces it I guess.

It's not expected they know the alphabet or colours but my 2 year old knows his colours well and most of the alphabet, numbers and shapes. He is learning letter sounds now. We read A LOT of books related to the topics. When we play with toys I will hand him something and describe it in extra words. Instead of just handing him a block for example, I will hand him the block and say it's a green block. Even when we go for walks I will describe to him what we are seeing. If we see a red stop sign I tell him the colour, shape and we go over the letters on it. Letters, colours, numbers and shapes are all around you. Use what you see and incorporate it into their day and be repetitive. But if your LO doesn't know them, don't stress. I teach kindergarten and some kids in my class don't know their letters yet and that's ok. Every kid is different with different interests.

Is it expected that a two year old should know the alphabet? 
We practice colours by always naming them when describing things. As in "get the blue shoes", find the yellow blanket" etc. He doesn't really talk much yet, but he certainly knows the colours.

My 2 year old knows all his colors but none of the alphabet (and neither does my 4 year old for that matter). He does try to sing the alphabet song but definitely isn’t really singing the letters. He can count to 3 in order and thats about it for numbers. He’s perfectly on track for his age though.
