How long should someone talk to a guy before dating?

Hi everyone! I use to talk to this guy before and we at that time we’re just in different spots in life so it never worked out. Well, 6 months passes and he texts me, we have been in the “talking” phase for a little over a month. At what point should it turn into a relationship? Should I walk away?

You need to date someone first to get to know him then if you both feel the same it could turn into a relationship.
Don’t invest so much time on someone if you haven’t even met him yet , sometimes some guy text or talk to you nonstop before you meet them , so you and up thinking you already in a relationship .

I think it all depends on how you or him feel about each other and about being in a relationship, I talked with my hubby for 3 months before we got together, I knew him all through out high school and never dated. until 2 years after graduating from high school, we started talking again for 3 months and then we got together. It will just feel normal or right, it’s hard to explain it, of when is the right time. Every one is different, same with every relationship. If you really like him, him keep talking and see where it goes. If you don’t really see yourself with him, then move on.
