Did your induction result in a cesarean?
My first pregnancy I was able to have a vaginal birth. I was given pitocin 12 hours after being admitted to help push me from a 7 to a 10 because I was staying at 7 for hours. I was against it because I felt like inducing labor always seemed to result in a cesarean. Those I knew personally who were induced did have to get a cesarean. It’s a stupid fear of mine to be cut open surgically. (I have nothing against cesarean births for others.I have many friends who had one and yes, you still gave birth)
I recently met someone who has just given birth too her fourth and she was induced for 3 of her pregnancy and never had a cesarean.
Due to certain circumstances (military) my husband has the possibility of missing the birth by days and that is if this baby comes on time on his own. My OB office is willing to induce as early as 39 weeks and that might allow my husband to meet our second son before he leaves.
I will not have much help from
family due to Covid-19 so I am trying to avoid cesarean as much as possible. Having to be a single parent for awhile to a newborn and almost 4 year old after having one isn’t the best idea in the world.
I want to know how many second time + moms on this app have experienced an induction without cesarean and I also want to hear those who did so I can read your experiences to help me make a decision and discuss with my OB.
Thank you.
