Does Diflucan cause BV?

So I have 3 more pills left of FLAGY because of BV. I took the single pill of Diflucan last night because I started itching like crazy. My doctor gave me an extra “just in case” prescription of Diflucan if the itching doesn’t go away after 3 days. My fear is it will bring BV back, will it?

Antibiotics can cause yeast. So if you’re treating BV then that will cause a yeast infection. I have never heard of it the other way around. Yeast medication causing BV? Nope 🤷🏽‍♀️

I had BV for around 9 months and no medication worked before I looked up and tried boric acid tablets. When I thought it came back a few weeks ago I went to my doctor and she told me it didn’t but even if I had a uti or a yeast infection that medication for those might possibly bring back the BV. Not usual but possible.

I've always known the treatment for b.v. to cause yeast. Never heard of that one though.
