Did you transfer 1 or 2 embryos?

Hi everyone, I got my embryos back from PGS testing and I am so thankful to God! 
6 came back normal!!!! I asked my doctor for the grading just out of curiosity and she said everything looks amazing:
- 1 was an AA, and 5 were ABs 
Now my question is... I had a teleconference with my doctor today and me and hubby wanted to transfer two from the time we first had a consultation ... but of course my doctor recommends transferring one and she’s kind of got me thinking / scared about all the complications associated with twin pregnancy, mainly worried about miscarrying and pre-term labor..... 
I am 30 years old by the way.....we have been married and trying for 10 years. 
My doctor emphasized that’s it’s ultimately my choice if I want to transfer 1 or 2 but now I’m just confused and scared.....

We transferred 2 embryos as we thought it would be difficult to get pregnant and we are getting on (my wife was turning 41 during the pregnancy). Both embryos implanted and everything went well until the 18 week abnormality scan and one of the twins was flagged as having shorter legs, this led to monitoring and measuring. At the 24 week scan we were told he had no heartbeat. My wife carried him until our little girl was born because there’s no other option once a baby is that far along, the risk would have been to great to our girl.
It was awful, I wouldn’t want anyone to go through it. When you’re doing IVF you are so invested and you know you’re pregnant right from the start so by the time you’re through the first trimester that baby/those babies are yours.
I’m now pregnant with our second and our doc suggested transferring two (I’m now 41) but we refused. I’m so glad we did. I’m 10+3 and hoping for a successful pregnancy but know there are no guarantees.

With PGS normal embryos our doc said just transfer one. That’s what we did. The first transfer ended in an ectopic and the second, well, I’m due May 7. Good luck!

Let me tell you this , I had one embryo transfer because my doct said the same it’s dangerous having twins blla blla blla , he only puts two when embryo doesn’t look good , everything was perfect with me , my lining , my levels everything and my first transfer didn’t work. (IVF for Male factor )When I asked for an answer he said maybe embryo was not good enough as I though . Wtf , I don’t get it , that’s why I did pgs to make sure it is ok. So now we are moving to next step , he recommended the ERA testing which of course I’ll do it but my question it’s still on for him “ are you going to transfer two this time “? ( I have appointment Monday ) so I don’t know what to tell you girl but emotionally I am down, spending a lot of money and getting nothing in return

I had 3 Pgs normal I had 2 day 5 baby girls both graded AB and one boy day 6 graded CC I transferred one of my girls and I’m now 25+4 with her. I really wanted a girl so was happy to have 2 girls that were better quality. Next round we will use the boy of coarse but won’t be mad with 2 girls!

Congrats! And personally, if they are PGS tested you should only transfer one at a time.

Do you know the gender? I had a total of 3 embryos PGS tested and I transferred my 5AB boy and 5BB girl and the girl implanted and about a year after my girl was born I transferred my last embryo 5BB boy and it worked. It’s up to you what you would like to transfer. Hoping you have a successful cycle ❤️

I am also almost 30 years old and had my embryos pgs tested. My doctor won’t transfer 2 at my age and possibly later complications. So we did first transfer which unfortunately failed, but the next month, our second transfer took, so now I am 8 weeks 2 days pregnant. I am to scared to have twins, especially since I am petite about 110 lb.

This is how I personally look at it, so take it for what you will lol. There is a small risk of an embryo splitting. So, if you transfer one embryo theres a tiny chance (I believe less than 3%) of it becoming twins. Now, think about transferring two. Would you be okay with twins, and the complications from a twin pregnancy that could occur? Would you be okay if it were triplets, or more? 
Another consideration is protocol. If you have a natural or Letrozole FET cycle (one where ovulation is induced instead of suppressed) and you have sex that cycle, you run the chances of that egg fertilizing and implanting, as well as the other two embryos, putting you at a higher risk for triplets, and the small chance of 3+. 
Personally, I transfer one at a time. I'm 27, strictly female factor, no PGS testing. I just don't want to risk any complications with all I've put in this.
Now, I'm not saying don't do it. If you and your husband have assessed the risks and implications of your protocol and a mulit-embryo transfer and are comfortable with any outcome, go for it! Good luck!

Congratulations on the 6 normal embryos. Are there any issues with you ? Something that might impact implantation?
I would say you are still young transfer one embryo at a time in case (God forbids) if first trial doesnot work and  your transfer protocol needs tweaking so you dont end up losing two embryos per trial

My dr wouldn’t transfer 2 if I had the pgs testing done because she said it was as high chance of success as doing 2 non tested embryos. However given the chance I would have definitely done 2. I never really wanted twins but at this point I had become more than happy with the idea since the journey is so hard
