Swaddle to sleepsack transition?

We use a Velcro swaddle and are wanting to transition to a sleep sack. What ways have you found to ease this transition? My daughter is four months.

We just did it and he didn’t seem to mind or have much of a reaction. Didn’t affect his sleep. I don’t know if that’s luck or what, but I usually try not to overthink things and just do them. Had the same approach with the bassinet to crib and it also worked out well. I say just do it and see what happens. Worst case scenario is that it doesn’t work out well and you try something else, ya know? You’ve got this. :)

We went from Velcro swaddle at night to zipadee zip. I was using the love to dream swaddle for day naps so he would get used to having more freedom with his arms when he slept. He took to the zipadee zip really well! I thought it was going to be a nightmare because we went cold turkey on the Velcro swaddle and went directly to the sleep sack.

We did the nested bean zen one. Started with both arms down under the belly belt, basically like a swaddle. Did that a few days, then let one arm out for about a week, then switched and let the opposite arm out for another week, then eventually did both arms out. Now she’s in the nested bean sleep sack.

One arm out for as long as they will sleep that way and then double arms in the rest of the night. Switch which arm is out then progressively let them sleep longer with an arm out and then do both arms. We got lucky and one night daughter decided she didnt want her arms in any more and has slept with her arms out since. We still used the ollie swaddle around her belly until this last week when she started rolling back to front and then transitioned to a sleep sac so she could roll onto her belly if she wanted. Because the swaddle is velcro its pretty easy to switch between one arm out or both arms out. She also isnt 4 months yet so she still has some startle reflex but does pretty good.
