How I finally got pregnant...
Hey ladies. I am posting this just to let you all know from my viewpoint how I got pregnant. Hopefully to help you all out anyway I can. If this isn’t allowed here then please report it so it will be deleted, but I’m just trying to help. If you have any questions I will answer them.
We were TTC for 14 months. I know how it feels every month you get that dreadful sight of blood. It sucks. But I am now 23 weeks - due in august with my first baby.
First I will say I took prenatals every day before I got pregnant. I had off periods and for some reason this actually helped regulate them.
Next as much as I HATED people telling me this - we stopped trying/stressing so hard. We stopped ovulation tests. We stopped tracking. I still used the app to put in when we had sex so I could accurately figure out my due date if we got pregnant.
And we didn’t go into sex as a chore. We actually had a few drinks at the casino after eating crab legs (for my husbands birthday) and that’s the night it happened. We only had sex 3 times during that month.
When it came to testing... I didn’t test until I missed my period. I know that’s such a long time. But I used the Walmart .88 cent tests and my first result on the day after I missed my period and it was so faint I didn’t even see it. I thought it was another evap or indent.
I waited THREE DAYS and it was still not super dark - but there.
I then got excited and did a digital - negative...
there wasn’t enough HCG. Devastated I thought it wasn’t a real pregnancy. I waited about 4 days and the digital was finally positive.
I will also say... I had A LOT of bleeding even after my digital positive. I got super upset. But my doctor told me it was normal because something about the baby attaching or something. She still wanted to see me but just to be cautious.
All in all... we didn’t use any magical lube or holding my feet up in the air to get pregnant. We relaxed and it finally happened. And I know it will happen for you too.
If you have ANY questions please comment. I will be happy to tell you my experience with TTC!
