Little house in a really nice area, or big house in less nice area?

Too bad we can’t have both

So this is the story- we had a choice- live in a really nice town, and get a little house

Or get a big house in a not as nice town

We chose the little house. We live in a really nice area. We were extremely happy we got this house. We live in an upper middle class town around a lot of very wealthy people. The houses here are beautiful, most of them are huge, but every few blocks there a few tiny houses. That’s where our house is. We are definitely the “poor” people in the neighborhood. Our house is super super tiny it’s a little ranch. Our kitchen is small, our dining room and living rooms are small and the bedrooms are small. But because we live in this neighborhood, we paid a lot for our house, and we could have gotten a much bigger house in a normal blue collar town. It’s not like I want to move to a shit area, just a normal regular middle class town.

We have outgrown this house, it’s way too small. It’s cluttered, and my sons bedroom is so tiny that he’s going to hate us when he’s older. I really want to move but my husband loves this town. Plus our property value has gone up a lot since we moved here. I love it too, but it’s just not for me. Our school district is good, but we can go somewhere else for a good school district also.

So if you had to pick between the 2, what would you pick?
