Best heartburn/anti acid medication during pregnancy?

My heart burn is so bad I wake up feeling like I need to puke and can’t sleep without sitting up. I’m in the second trimester. It’s also hurting my throat and I can barely eat anything without it flaring up and making me sick. Anything I can get at the store? Tums aren’t working.

I will ask my doc too at my appointment Thursday... but just thought I would ask the crowd on here as well- see if you all have any experiences. Thanks :)
