What are signs of miscarriage?

Because I have been upset lately and when I got into a huge fight with bf I started to feel a wet feeling thinking I was horny but the whole time that I went to go check it out it was blood and the blood was a darkish brown with a lil bit of red can someone give me answers.....because I don’t know what to do when I told my bf he cried thinking I lost the baby and I did research and got different answers so I need someone to help me with this
