FIL keeps sending us money?
I want to start off saying we are obviously grateful for this, please don't think I'm complaining about it.
We are on a low income, about £12k a year and are a family of 3 with one on the way. We still have plenty money to afford the things we need as long as we budget for things. We had to borrow £50 off my FIL recently due to the virus adding a a large delivery fee to an order, which we hadn't budgeted for. Now he has sent us more money, we've told him we don't need it and were going to repay him the £50 on Friday this week but he doesn't want us to repay anymore. He's done this before several times also. I just feel wrong taking the money and spending it right now, he's still on full income so he isn't facing financial hardship but I just don't like taking money off people if we dont 100% need it, and now he won't let us pay it back. I don't know what to do with it, I don't want to spend it. Should I use it for baby stuff and say that whatever we buy with it is off him? So then it's just like he's bought something for the baby? What am I meant to do in this situation, my family are low income and I'm not used to this (my inlaws have a lot more money than my family). I've always paid people back when I've been forced to borrow money in the past.
I didn't know what group to put this in sorry!
