I was doing so well today and then I just lost it on my kids.
My 4 year old is a terror. A complete tornado. Into one thing she’s not supposed to be into, and then onto the next before I’m able to get a complete sentence out to correct her about the first thing. Like I blink and it’s one thing after another, just constant. So I screamed at her and shook a box of pencils at her this morning after she colored on the rug (for the billionth time, after I’ve also explained that that is not allowed a billion times. I even took away crayons because she wasn’t getting it). When I gave her the pencils I even said, only draw on paper and put the paper on the table. Nope, she kept it on the floor and drew on the rug.
I hate this age. And I hate the quarantine.
Update: I took away crayons and reminded her she may not use those anymore, I gave her colored pencils to use. I looked and she was using a crayon to draw. It’s annoying because I took them away to try to teach her that if she doesn’t listen there are consequences. She just ignores it and uses them anyway.
