Dockatot

Question

Has anyone used a dockatot and do you think it’s useful? I really want to get one but based on the reviews, it can’t be used as a sleeper. So, not sure if i have a bassinet, what would i use it for

We used the boppy lounger for hanging out on the couch or wherever. We loved it. I just couldn’t justify spending that much money on a dockatot when they outgrow it so quickly.

I used the doc-a-tot from early on. I actually bought it after she was born because I needed a safer more comfortable solution for both of us while co sleeping. It’s portable and really overly nice quality. I would say the knock off brands will work just fine, doc-a-tot is really high quality and expensive so if it’s not in your budget I say buy a knock off with good reviews on amazon! The second one I bought was just that, in a bigger size because she outgrew the deluxe. It was $100 cheaper and came with a matching comforter and pillow. It was not as robust and sturdy as the doc-a-tot but it works perfectly for in her mini crib. Great product in my Opinion but everyone is different and does baby stuff differently. Maybe wait until the baby is here and adjust accordingly. I feel like I thought I needed to have anything and everything I was going to need before she came, but in reality you can still go to the store after birth! Good luck!!

Yes! We love ours and got both sizes. Our little one goes in it when we are in bed watching movies, hanging on the couch, sitting on the floor- she really likes it and I would definitely recommend.

Just get a pack n play. Used for newborn up until you transfer to crib. 
Dock a tots or anything related to those are not meant for sleeping nor have they passed/been tested for the safe sleeping standards. 
Always always have baby on flat firm surface with nothing in sleeping area.

I was debating getting one as well. I read that its not safe to let babies sleep in them and I didn’t want to spend money on something that wasn’t safe. I ended up buying a CocoonaBaby and loved it. it’s safe for baby to sleep in and elevated to help with reflux, snuggly to help baby feel secure. My baby slept like a dream in here for several months. It’s also sturdy. I could carry my sleeping baby from room to room in here.

We did one like this. I would never pay the amount the dockatot costs. Our daughter lounged in it some but would rather be in her chair or on the floor and able to move around.

No use for it in my opinion. We loved the boppy lounger though. It isn't for sleep, but I would put her in there when I was taking a shower, or entertaining her. She loved it.
