Dating apps?

What do you guys think about dating apps? In terms of: talking to people, serious relationships and/or actually finding someone special/your person (no hookups) do you guys think they’re successful? Also, what are thoughts to get on them during this quarantine period ?

I met my fiance on a dating app but that was 11 years ago. I have heard now days they are more used for hook ups and could be different in different countries.

They can be successful but that depends on the person. If it’s a nice way to pick and choose who you want but most of the time it’s about making sure the persons who you think they are and that they’re serious

I’ve never been successful in finding a serious relationship from a dating app. Granted I look more for serious relationships from people I naturally meet in person whereas when I go on a dating app it’s mostly out of boredom and just wanting someone to chat with.

I’ve been with my Tinder dude for over a year now. It can work if you have the right expectations and are open to rejection and rejecting others during the process. You’ll definitely meet some duds, and you’ll ghost and be ghosted. You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, so just be honest from the start.
