Have y’all ever gotten your period twice in one month because of switching birth controls?

I just switched birth controls two weeks ago and my doctor lowered my estrogen dosage for my PCOS. The first week on my new birth control I was on my period which was my normal cycle week and I’ve been taking my new meds since. Yesterday I woke up and had my period again but it’s not my normal cycle. Do y’all have any advice or information about this? I would call my dr but I wanna make sure I know what I’m dealing with first.

Birth control destroyed my periods😭I once bled for two weeks, stopped for a week and then bled for 3 more weeks. Not to mention all the other horrendous side effects

Your “periods” while on birth control aren’t technically periods. They’re withdrawal bleeds or breakthrough bleeds. Being on birth control suppresses your ovulation (most of the time, depending on the type of birth control you’re using). No ovulation = no period. No period does NOT mean no bleeding though.
It’s very possible (and common) to have multiple bleeds in one month, or even randomly, while on birth control.

i actually just switched mine this month. i was on american pills then i switched to a brand i got from greece when i went (we made sure it was a safe brand we got from a real pharmacy) but i didn’t like the way that brand made my period super heavy so i switched back to american pills this month and now i have my period again
