My name is Lexi. I had a baby at 15 years old with my first boyfriend of 5 years. Things didn’t last, but I’m with my second boyfriend and I’m going to be 20 years old on May 1st. As soon as I hit 18 years old, I moved out of my moms house and got my first apartment. I am now at my second apartment, work at a bank and moving up in it, make more money than both of my parents, have my own car, pay my own bills, etc etc... I know my family will not be happy that I am trying to conceive a second child as they’re just kind of negative people and anytime any is expecting a baby in my family (doesn’t matter about age or who it is) it’s viewed as a stupid thing to do.. and I just need opinions on how to go about with telling them all. I want this to be a good experience and surprise them and try to focus on the good. My savings has about $10k in it from saving up from my job, income tax, odds and ends. I’ve been preparing for this. Sure, I had a savings account but wasn’t really saving for anything until my boyfriend and I decided we would try for a baby. With having a baby at 15 years old (not trying), I can’t see myself having a baby at such a later age. I’ve already had to grow up pretty quickly since having my first. I didn’t quite experience a “normal teenage life”, and I’m fine with that. I just need some help and opinions with how to go about with telling my family. I know I shouldn’t care about people’s opinions, but it is my family that I’ll be tied to forever, so me telling them when I am pregnant is something I want to be 100% perfect. I’m testing myself on the 18th for pregnancy. I just need some suggestions! Thank you!!
