What is happening to my daughter leg!?

Question

So a few mins ago I was feeding my daughter and putting her to sleep and i looked down 
And saw her leg was a differnt color and was red and alittle purple and her foot got swollen to. It scared me . Her leg is now back to normal color  but her foot is still swollen what could this be! This is freaking me out.

She doesn’t have like a hair wrapped around her ankle or anything does she?
They can be hard to see but hair can wrap around toes or ankles easily!
Just do a quick check to be sure!

Was she laying on the leg that is blue? Looks like lack of blood flow... massage her legs and foot until some of the color comes back and go ahead and call her doctor now!

Weird that they aren't the same. Was the white one warm against you and the discolored one exposed to air? Sometimes coldness can turn the extremities colors which is why they always say to keep baby really warm.

Happened to my daughter. Doctor said when they are young their bodies aren't great at managing their blood stream whem tilted to one side for too long, so basically being on her side for a longer period the blood kinda flows down (like how it does to your head when upside down) and that it will just happen but no harm comes from it. Just lay them flat on back for a little to fix it.
