The guy I've been talking to is too scared to facefime

*facetime, sorry y'all lol

ughhh :/ I've been talking to this awesome guy from tinder, I can actually tell for once that he's super obviously interested (responds me in .2 seconds, asks genuine questions about me/my life/interests, texts me good morning, sends me things that make him think of me, etc). so far he's been great, we text and snap all day and seem to get along there, but I've been dying to FaceTime to see if we actually get along (also bc we're in quarantine lol). I had mentioned it to him a few days ago and then today I called him bc we were screwing around with eachother and he picked up for like 2 seconds and then hung up and said he thought his mom was coming (we're 20 and home from college lol). he told me he could put earbuds in but then confessed that he always feels super awkward on FaceTime and never uses it/doesn't know what to say. I think he's being genuine and I obviously don't want to force him or be too forward/ annoying about it but considering we have no idea when we'll actually be able to meet in person I kinda wanted to know if we'd have the same chemistry talking as we do over text bc I'm scared to waste my time. I get that not everyone would be as comfortable facetiming some random person so I think he's being reasonable, lol. I'm probably the weird one in this situation. any

advice on how to handle this? Should I just let it go?
