Pregnancy during a pandemic

Pregnant during a pandemic. How crazy is that? One day, I’ll be explaining to my son that while he lived peacefully inside me, the world was experiencing a chaotic point in time. I’ll be sure to tell him that not only did I have him using my lungs as pillows, restricting my breathing but I also had to wear this lovely mask to keep him safe. I’ll tell him about how his daddy got stuck deployed overseas because of this and how his grandmas & tio weren’t able to visit either because their states are on lockdown.

I’ll tell him about how everyone freaked out and bought all the toilet paper... and then I’ll have to tell him I don’t know why they did that either. My point is, this is crazy! This is something we read about in textbooks.. literally. Yet no one realizes that.

BUT — in other news, Raiden is healthy, striving, and soooo comfortable in his position they’re thinking he’ll make it until June in my tummy 🥴 preterm labor was a big fear for us, so while I’m grateful to hear he has the possibility of making it full term... I really wasn’t planning on being pregnant next week. 😅
