Night time feeding

My LO is about to be one and on formula and pumped breastmilk and hasn’t had a bottle in the night for a few weeks.

This past night my husband asked me to make a bottle to feed our LO at 4am and I feel like that will create the night time feeding habit again.

He also changed his diaper (just pee, not leaking through). I’ve asked him to not change him unless he has pooped or leaked through because it wakes him up more to be changed. He said to stop and he’s going to do what he feels he needs to do.

I’m not sure what to do or even how to start the weaning process to cows milk.

We give him an 8oz bottle before bed and I’m at a loss on how to stop doing that as well.

Any advice would be appreciated!

To transition my daughter away from breastmilk overnight I slowly changed the ratio of breastmilk to whole milk. I went 90% breastmilk/10% whole milk, then 75/25, 60/40, etc until she was 100% on whole milk. Your baby may do better with the transition and not have to go as slowly. Then I slowly started making her milk less warm until she was getting cold, whole milk. She was less interested in bedtime milk when it was cold and I’d just rock her and read her a story before bed.
