Does any one here have gastroparesis?

Question

Has anyone here been diagnosed with gastroparesis? My doctors think I might have if and I literally cant eat without feeling sick. I cant deal with it. It's making me so depressed. I keep throwing up and I dont know what do do. I have a stomach emptying study next month but it's just seems like a life time away. I need advice on what to do to make this more manageable. Can someone please help me. 2020 has really been something for me I cant even eat without getting sick like ughh whyyy???

I don’t but my cousin has it. Once she was diagnosed and got on a proper meds (took a while) she can eat normally now. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

Im so sorry, thats just horrible to deal with. 
I've had a mild version a few times- i have a lot of stomach issues & a couple times I couldn't eat from being sick or got scared to eat & started to starve. Unfortunately, starving yourself & then starting to eat again can lead to gasrtoparesis! And it UNPLEASANT and PAINFUL & it's like my least favorite thing. For me i had to keep on eating until it finally would subside and I could digest my food more normally and not be constipated as well. 
But I don't know why you have it or if it will subside, so I'm glad you are seeing a doctor, that sounds pretty bad since you are actively throwing up. Mine didn't cause that, it just made me feel like I would. 
After I had the stomach flu this year, I was so scared I would get gastroparesis because I didn't eat for 3 days, and not much for a week... but I think a couple things helped, I made sure to be hydrated as possible, and I ate a lot of yogurt every day and ate small regular meals- and FOR ONCE in my life I didn't have an issue with gastroparesis.

My father has a severe case of it. He has many other health issues that make his gastroparesis worse. He struggles with throwing up and severe nausea/pain. His breath used to smell horrible, and he would hardly leave the house because he was so embarrassed by it. It was because food was literally rotting in his stomach and not being digested. They do have medicines to make it manageable, and there is a surgery that can be done, but it wasn’t an option for my dad due to all of his other issues. 
I know several people who live otherwise healthy and full lives, and my dad is not the norm!

my friend had that & she had to get surgery . food is very limited to her she cant eat fried food or none of that junky stuff, it was painful for her too. i had gallstones so i as well, am limited to a few things to eat. she now takes pills for her immune system, hang in there though!

I follow a low fodmap lifestyle now, so I had to eliminate a lot of foods, like onions and garlic. Look up Low Fodmap, there are also a few books that you can order. I ordered a few myself. I hope this helps!!
