Itching

So I just got on my period for the first time since July (I’m on birth control) but I’m a little curious since I started to itch down there days up to my period, and now it’s extremely itchy right now. Idk if it’s my hair growing in, making it uncomfortable or an infection. I’m not currently sexually active and I’m clean. I’m just asking to see what it could be and how to make it stop
