We only have one base because we have an expensive infant seat and another base for it would be over $150. We are putting the convertible car seat- that starts at 4 pounds- in my husbands car for “emergencies” as we travel in my car 95% of the time. I would say go for it if the base is that cheap!

We got a second base for my husbands car, just easier.

Although she will mostly be in the bigger car we got two just incase. They're a pain to transfer around. I got mine off of Amazon for $25ish. Not sure what kind of car seat you have. I have the Graco Click-connect.

Just install it baseless. A used car seat base isn’t safe.

We have 2 bases. It was sooo convenient when I had my first baby 3 years ago. And then we willGet 2 convertible seats when the time comes.

100% needed in my opinion

We just have 1 base. But when we go somewhere as a whole it will be primarily in the van until we fix the 1 seat belt buckle in the back. Otherwise we will just do a baseless install in other vehicles.

I have the base for the infant seat in my car because it’ll be used more often. The car seat came with our stroller. We bought a second convertible (infant to booster seat) car seat for my husband’s truck. That seat will last until she’s much bigger. Once she out grows the infant seat I’ll probably move the other car seat to my car. If we find that we do need two at that point then I’ll buy a second one for larger children.

We ended up buying two convertible carseats.

Try to find one on a yard sale site. I got an extra base off Facebook for 20$.
