wtf, this man is about to get drop kicked.

i told him i got my stimulus check and i’m saving it for a crib and stuff for the baby. he tells me “money isn’t going to be worth anything soon and it’s like saying youre going to save for a puppy, it’s unnecessary”

back story: he had a kid as a kid so he thinks it the same thing and is sooooo experienced 🙄

he goes on to say that he’s an experienced expert and knows what a baby needs and doesn’t need and how the baby will hardly use the crib.

i agree that baby will probably not use crib so much in first year but let him know i plan on getting a crib that grows with the baby he tells me “that’s a great idea if it plays out like that” .......plays out like what!? i’m so confused. he said “our baby will have a crib but not one that’s the price of a car” like what sir? where are you expecting me to get this crib from, the crib dealership?

he then starts lecturing me saying the first year should go to breast pump, clothes, health care ect

i’m so confused what this man is thinking is going to happen with this crib. i had saved $200 when i first found out i was pregnant specifically for a crib, it mysteriously went missing and he said he found some of it but i never got it back??? whatever he can have it cause admittedly i don’t pay any bills so he can use that if he wants. but now i think he’s being overboard.
