It all depends on how your body will respond. I know other ppl are saying it takes days but I had a super fast labor with my first. I got 3 doses of cytotec which is every 4 hours. The 3rd dose she got in really good and I started having strong contractions. Got the epidural and they broke my water and I had her within 4 hours. 22 mins of pushing. They started the cervical pill at 2 pm on tues and I had her Wednesday morning at 5:44am

The only tips I can give you is to be prepared to be there a few days. It’s best to go in knowing things will take awhile. Eat before you go and pack snacks.
I went in on a Thursday afternoon and was only a fingertip dilated. The started me on cervadil...that wasn’t doing much. 
They gave me potocin midday Friday. That evening They did the Foley ball which I got unmediated and in my opinion hurt the most. Knowledge is power so if they do that know that it will hurt pretty bad and you have to stay still while they are putting it in but it does work. I went for 1cm-5cm in like 6 or 7 hours. Then I was able to get my epidural.
I gave birth Saturday at 2:15pm. So please try and sleep when you can. I really didn’t so when my son arrived after days being there I could barely keep my eyes open. I had to give him to my husband so I can rest. I still feel sad that my after birth experience went the way it did

i ate chipotle before we went in. it took 3 entire days to get baby girl here. they started me on a pill every so many hours, then that didn’t work. then this fouley bulb, which burst so no help there. finally a long medicated strip called cervidil, which gave me major contractions. they let me go home because i was begging for a good night sleep, i wasn’t dialated or effaced at all so they said ok nicole u can go home tonight but u have to come back tomorrow. i came back in tears, i was in active labor all night and just didn’t realize that’s why i was in so much pain. she came at almost 10 pm
the night of day 3. 
i did get an epidural, it took them 3 times to get it in properly, which was ultimately a spinal tap. i had insane headaches right after delivery. i was leaking fluid from that hole in my back, 3 days later i got a blood patch to fix it( they take blood from your arm and insert it directly into that hole). 
when whoever is coaching you through pushing says “push big” or “ push small tiny pushes” LISTEN. i wanted to just keep pushing to get her out and i’m glad i listened, it honestly saved me from tearing . i didn’t have the greatest experience so i hope you’re goes easier. i will say to bring some sort of fan, when your pushing a cold rag on your forehead does not cut it. and a nice headband :) congrats and so exciting ! i’m due next month but being induced at 39 weeks on may 24th, i can’t wait

Sleep as much u can. Relax .
 Do eat before going, after inducyion u might not allowed to eat much.
Take water bottle with straw, so u can sip water between pushes , helped me. N trust ur labor nurse , she can give u better opinions than anyone in that room.
