Our son is in the Nicu

So as some may know I had GD and my numbers were always great! I did everything right...they put our son in the nicu to monitor blood sugar levels which they said stabilized but now they have to wean him off of the IV they were giving him. Then they told us he has a high bilirubin and have to keep him under the light. I feel like such a failure already. They want to discharge me and keep him till Friday and I can’t cope with that feeling. Especially with everything like covid going on. Since I am breastfeeding they said I could “room-in” if they have the space. So far they do so I feel way better waiting in the hospital till Friday rather than waiting at home...I just pray that he gets better sooner than that and we can all go home together 🥺
