How would you interpret these situations.

I work in childcare and my room partner interprets some situations a lot differently than I do. Curious on that others think. ( These obviously happened a little while ago since we're closed for Covid 🙈 )

Situations 1:

We have a parent in the medical field. He gets really pissy anytime he has to fill out paperwork for us to give medication. Especially when it's over the counter meds. He's always goes on "this is ridiculous. I'm a health care professional. This is over the counter meds. What a waste of time." ( Each time we explain its policy ministry lays out for us)

My interpretation: He feels he knows better since it's his field.

Co workers interpretation: He looks down on us because we're women.

Situation 2:

Parents of an only child jokes she put him in daycare because she didn't want him to turn out 'funny'

Me: She doesn't want him to be socially awkward or other only child stereotypes

Coworker: she's homophobic

Those are odd ways to take that right? Or is that what you would think?
