Stimulus check question:

Hey guys. Please give me your opinions. I am 22 years old, live with my fiancé, and make just under 50,000 although last year (2019 taxes) I only made 13,000 because I was in school for a few months and not working at that time. Most people I know got their stimulus checks today including my fiancé.

I’m worried that I might not get one and here’s why:

My dad claimed me as a dependent on his 2018 taxes. Which, as I was paying for everything myself he shouldn’t have done, but what’s in the past is in the past. When I heard about the stimulus checks I filed my 2019 taxes as quickly as possible (about 2 weeks ago now) and claimed myself. Based on my 2019 tax return I should 100% be eligible for the stimulus check.

Do you think I filed too late? Do you think they went off of my 2018 taxes? Or do you think there’s still an issue because my dad hasn’t filed 2019 yet so they see me claimed on his 2018 even though I claimed myself on my 2019?

My fiancé and I really need this stimulus check and I’m so so so stressed because there’s nothing I can do and no one I can contact to see what to do. And yes I checked the IRS website and got this message back:

Please let me know what you guys think 🙁
