So my daughter has been weird about paci's since day 1. She is now 5.5 months old and still doesn't hold her own paci in her mouth. She suckles on the bottle nipple (Dr. Brown) just fine. We tried the nuk soothies right away for that reason (similar shaped nipples) and she won't keep it in her mouth. We use the nuk paci's ("regular" ones?) The weird thing is she needs it in her mouth to fall asleep but we have to hold it for her. Now, I do not mind doing that for her. I was just wondering if other parents had babies like this and if anyone had suggestions on paci's to help that could offer our baby some independence. 😁
