I am trying so hard not to give up breastfeeding but between that and pumping my nipples are killing me. I have the cream and shields but he doesn’t like the shields. They have what looks like scabs from bleeding. I’ve checked his latch and it seems fine, it hurts when he first latches then goes away. I have insanely sensitive skin so even the hospital warned me that it might be painful/difficult. With nursing I can’t take a break to let them heal back up so my question is can you do breast every other feed and do bottles in between to give them a little break? Would he forget or have trouble latching? I feel awful because it’s only been a week and I’m already having issues with my supply and now this.
