Single mum?

Question

My ex-partner is being very unclear if he wants to be there for his child, I am 3 months pregnant how should I deal with this situation as I have no clue where I stand with him, I am very scared and I am only 20 and this is my first child what should I do?

Answer

You can’t force him to be a father. You can however get him to pay child support money that will help you out that way after the baby is born. All you can do is keep him updated on how the pregnancy is progressing. Tell him about any scans or appointments you have coming up incase he wants to turn up to them. Don’t be surprised if he he doesn’t though. Involve any family or friends who you have around you and ask for help if you need it. Loads of people are single parents. Its not unusual or a bad thing.

Do it on your own. The only person you can count on is yourself. If he wants to be a part let him, you can’t force him to be there.
