Depression during pregnancy ?

Wanted to see if I was alone. I’m so happy to be having a baby but idk what’s wrong with me. I think I may be experiencing depression during my pregnancy . #2 pregnancy btw.

You are not alone! This is my second and I honestly felt borderline depressed too. I have never suffered from depression. I really think it's hard to deal with a toddler and at the same time create another life inside you. In addition, this whole covid19 and working from home is not helping either. At least I know this phase will pass. You are almost there!

I got depression with my first. But I am very open with my husband. 
With my first pregnancy we lived in a different country. (Spain) and we are from America. I did not speak the language, we had no family, few friends. I couldn’t work, and my husband worked long hours. 
But I would just be open with your spouse it helps me, I tell him how I’m feeling, what I’m thinking. How we think we can work this out, then we give myself 2 weeks to work on it and if I don’t feel better we talk to a dr. 
I always try to work it before going to a dr. Because I don’t like taking medication. 
But don’t feel embarrassed! It’s very common. ❤️

How far along r u? I got a little depressed when I was so sick. Once I saw ultrasound I had hope and got happy. Keep your head up! Always vent and express how you feel. Don’t hold it in. Your not ever alone 😘

This is my third pregnancy and I’ve just been super depressed. I didn’t plan this pregnancy, my husband says he would be super supportive and extra loving towards me (it’s his first baby) and he hasn’t! He goes through the day without even asking how I’m feeling. I hate it. I don’t have family support, and I also don’t have friends.

I went off my depression meds when i was pregnant with my last son. It was ok for a few months but i had alot goin on and i decided to get back on something.  So i weighed my options of being on meds or not for my own well being. My dr put me on prozac which was way safer during pregnancy. It was what was best for me. Dont worry your not alone. Even being super excited about having a baby u can still have alot of emotions goin on. The day after my last son was born i started balling my eyes out and couldnt stop. No idea why. Them emotions hit u like a brick wall sometimes.

I am having a hard time too. I have ptsd that I have been working on as well, but being at home with two young step children, trying to complete online courses and being pregnant and not wanting to do anything is exhausting. I am seeing a counselor so that helps a lot. Times are really tough right now and I think the more you expect things to be a certain way, the worse you will feel about it. Being pregnant is exciting, but you are also allowed to feel sad and overwhelmed. I keep feeling terribly for bringing a child into the world when it's like this. But we can't control this stuff, so you just have to acknowledge it and roll with it. Hang in there! And take lots of time for yourself
