Is your husband Welsh? It’s quite a common name in Wales as far as I know but might seem strange to people not from there. I know a few Welsh people named Emrys, I like it 😊

It's a nice Welsh name. It's part of Merlin's name (like the wizard), I believe?

It just makes me think of Merlin and while I love all of that it makes me want to say hell no haha. But I think it’s still a pretty commonly used name in Wales.

It won’t let me edit this for some reason. His reasoning for wanting the name Emrys is because he wants a more unique name.
Our first two children are named Skyla Rhea and Thorin Tyre.
I don’t hate the name Emrys, I’m just worried that it’s TOO unique.
Maybe any suggestions for other unique boy names?
