What age did you start your period?

What age did you start your periods?
Also share your first period story 
And any embarrassing period stories

I think I was 10 or 11 or 12 I can’t remember it was a long time ago. I just Remember that it was 5th grade the day of the Statue of Liberty trip and we had to climb all the way up to the crown for a millisecond to look out and all the way back down. Was the worst way to start it lol I was miserable. With cramps. I will never forget that.

I was 13, one morning I sat on the toilet and when I looked down, there was a bit of blood coming out. 
So I called my mom, got a pad, and that's it.

I was 12. I went to school (6th grade) was sitting there learning. Had to pee. Asked to go pee. Went and when I wiped it was bloody and I was like "ahhh shit not prepared. No pads." So I went to my awesome teacher and told her I started and she discreetly handed me a couple pads and I appreciate her so much lol she provided her own stock of pads for us just in case someone started at school lol I had a pretty good experience with it I suppose

I was 10. My mum told me I started because there was blood in my underwear. I didn’t even know other than that I had stomach cramps which I thought was a belly ache.
