At 37 weeks and 2 days my water broke at 1:45a.m. on Tuesday, April 14th. My husband and I arrived at the hospital to be sure around 3a.m. The test confirmed the fluid was my water breaking and I was admitted at 3:54a.m. My blood pressure was quite high, after contractions started there was concern due to it not dropping. The doctor recommended pitocin to speed up the labor process to avoid having to intervene. At 10:00-10:30a.m. on April 14th I was dilated to 2cm. At 12:30p.m. I was dilated to 8cm. Our daughter was born at 1:05p.m. on April 14th, weighing 5lbs 7oz and 18in long! Our hearts are so full! Still can't believe she's here. 😭 We didn't know the gender ahead of time and it was the best surprise of our lives!! 💜
