Potty training yet??

Question

How has potty training gone for you? What have you tried that seems to have helped? 
I have 2 friends who are potty training 4/5year old and I don't want to wait that long! 
I want to hopefully have a fully potty trained daughter before 3, 3 1/2 years

My daughter is fully potty trained, by the end of February she was in panties all the time. What I found that worked was letting her run around the house either naked or with just panties. Yes she had accidents but she learned that she was wet and didn’t like it so we started asking her about every 30 minutes if she needed to go to the potty. We ended up buying her one that looks like a real toilet. Get excited when they go, the first couple of days she got smarties (her favorite candy) for using the potty then she just was interested in them anymore for a “reward” she liked the praise and excitement that we had and her being able to wash her own hands. Everybody thinks it’s crazy that she potty trained but she was ready, we feel as if she’s advanced for her age though. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Every baby is different but DONT give up! You got this momma!

Being stuck at home we have dived right in to potty training. We had started before all of this just taking him potty when we thought about it and he would go when were was on the potty but also go in between in his diaper. Now that we are home we put him in underwear except for sleeping. He had a lot of accidents the first few days and then as we go farther along he’s barely having any at all. I still have to help him pull his pants up and down but he’s doing great!  We talk about how big boys go teetee and poopoo in the potty. Don’t teetee on Buzz Lightyear (or whoever is on his underwear). And we started taking about how dirty diapers were nasty. Just jump in and it will at least give you an idea of where your little one stands as far as being ready or not.

We originally tried potty training back in mid March when the SIP went into effect here in California. I figured since we were home, what better time, right? HAHAHAHA. It did not go well for us. The disruption in her normal routine plus the absence of the good things in her usual day (her teachers and friends, swimming lessons, playdates) was already tough enough, so adding potty training was just another negative thing that none of us wanted to deal with. We have up after day 5. But a little over a week ago, she started trying to remove her wet diapers and tried putting clean ones on. She also started trying to sit on the potty, so we figured we would try again. OMG, it is like night and day difference from the first time around. She is doing SO much better. I put her potty in the bathroom so she is not distracted by the TV or anyone else--that way she knows when she is peeing. We did the first week with no panties or diapers--just bare buns. We then put her in panties and pants. She doesnt like the feel of wetness on her butt so she learned really fast. She wears a pull up for naps and bedtime right now. We also have a sticker chart, and give her three M&Ms every time she goes in the potty. She would get a bigger prize, like a Kinder Egg, if she went in the potty 5 times. Now she gets a bigger prize if she doesn't have any accidents, since she is going more often in the potty. We are a week and a half in and she has maybe one accident a day--sometimes none. She had 2 days in a row with no accidents.

I started super early . She was always comfortable with the potty because she’s basically always known it . She’s been fully trained since 18 months . 
I honestly believe kids become complacent with diapers and grow used to it . But I’ll find out with number 2 if I just got lucky with my first 😂
