Would you be mad if your doctor did a membrane sweep without your consent?

Today at my appointment my doctor was just supposed to do a cervical check and she went ahead and did a full membrane sweep without asking! I'm only 38+2 so I found it super unnecessary to do right now and most of them don't even work so I didn't want to go through that pain for no reason. I'm just super irritated & in alot of pain 😭

I would be concerned what she will do during labor without your consent if she’s going to do that during a prenatal appointment. I would have a talk with her at your next appointment voicing your concerns. 
Technically that is medical abuse and should be reported to the board

Are you sure they did ?? My doctor just did a cervix check and it hurt really bad because of how far back my cervix was and she said she couldn’t do a membrane sweep till 39 weeks and I was 38 weeks and 6 days
